Chicago Manual of Style

Chicago Manual of Style is used in the humanities, especially history.

 

Format

Chicago Style (sometimes referred to as its modified form: Turabian) has two different and distinct citation styles:

  • The Humanities use the bibliography & notes style 
  • The Scientific and Social Science communities use a Reference list & author-date in-text citations

 

17th Edition

The 17th edition of CMS was released in 2017 and can be found in the Reference Section of Raugust Library. (If you need to refer to the 16th edition, it's now shelved in the General Collection upstairs.)
