Great for going deeper

Books, like articles, will report on specific research done by scholars in the field. When you know your topic or research question, check out a few books for information that will add to your ideas or answer your questions. Films and documentaries can be a great way to supplement your other research, or to find visual representations of your topic.

Browsing Subjects & Call Numbers

If you are interested in browsing for topics in history or for inspiration, head upstairs and look at Dewey Decimal Call Numbers in the 900s: 

  • 930s: History of the ancient world
  • 940s: History of Europe
  • 950s: History of Asia
  • 960s: History of Africa
  • 970s: History of North America
  • 980s: History of South America
  • 990s: History of other areas, including Australasia, Pacific islands, Atlantic islands, Arctic islands, Antarctica, extraterrestrial worlds
