APA Style, 7th Ed.

American Psychological Association (APA) style is the standard citation style used for psychology and many other academic disciplines, especially the social sciences.

APA uses a References page at the end of your paper and author-date in-text citations. Author-date in-text citations are just that - they include the author and the year of publication in parentheses after a paraphrase or a quote. A References page at the end of your paper lists all of your sources alphabetically.

7th Edition

The 7th Edition of APA style guidelines was released in October 2019. There are Quick Guides linked below for both the 6th and 7th editions, since your professors may still ask you to use the 6th edition.
