APA uses a References page at the end of your paper and author-date in-text citations. Author-date in-text citations are just that - they include the author and the year of publication in parentheses after a paraphrase or a quote. A References page at the end of your paper lists all of your sources alphabetically.

In-text citation basic format:

(Author last name, Year)

(Author last name, Year, p. ##)

Reference list citation basic format:

Author, A. A. & Author, B. B. Title of the work. Source where others can find the work (journal or publication info, for example). DOI or URL
