Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Raugust Library

white tile, black text reading "Hispanic Heritage Month"Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15 to October 15 each year and celebrates the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. The month-long celebration begins on September 15 to honor several Latin American countries that celebrate Independence Days on and near that date: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico (September 16), and Chile (September 18).

Books in this list include:

  • Children's literature (picture books, middle grade, and teen)
  • Adult fiction and memoirs
  • Non-fiction (history, education, art, culture)
