National Poetry Month was launched by the American Academy of Poets in 1996. Today, dozens of publishing companies, booksellers, and library and literary organizations sponsor the month-long celebration of poetry and poets.
Books in this list include anthologies, collections by single authors, and novels in verse for a range of reading levels. Be sure to stop by the library in April to see some of these titles on our display in front of the Information Desk.
